The Bristol office of full service digital marketing agency Fat Media is working with US reality TV star Aaron Marion to launch his hair care company Pete & Pedro in the UK.
Aaron, pictured, is a popular US lifestyle vlogger with a 3m-strong following on his YouTube channel AlphaM. He also appeared twice on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank – the US version of Dragon’s Den – where he pitched business ideas including the Pete & Pedro brand.
The brainchild of Aaron and his friend and stylist Stephen Posta of Dyer & Posta Salon, Pete & Pedro is already successful in the US and is now working with Fat Media to build brand awareness in the UK and boost engagement through social media and digital PR.
Fat Media head of social and PR Alexei Lee, who is based in its Bristol office, said: “Pete & Pedro have a huge following in the US and it’s great to be working with them at the start of their journey to target the UK market.
“So far, we’ve been developing and implementing a social and digital PR strategy which has already begun to have an impact, with the brand’s Instagram following up by 150% in less than one month.
“We are now working with the brand to develop unique lifestyle content and are in the process of developing some exciting plans for the new year, to really make Pete & Pedro a household name in the UK.”
Lancaster-based Fat Media, which lists Typhoo, Warburtons, Lakeland, Samsung, and JD Sports among its clients, moved into Bristol just over two years ago after snapping up long-running Brislington content marketing firm Strategy Digital.
It recently relocated the office to Wine Street in the city centre, where it is now expanding. In total the group employs 130 people across Lancaster, Bristol and an office in London.
Last year it second place in the widely-respected Drum Digital Census in the 100-plus employee category, based on clients’ votes.
