Facilities management firm Almeda has appointed four new members of staff as it gears up for a record 2017.

Lyndsay Scriven and Matt Coombs have joined the Keynsham-based firm as junior facilities engineers, delivering hard services of mechanical and engineering maintenance to sites across the South West, while James Wilcox arrives as resident handyman and Tegan Robson as assistant office co-ordinator.

Lyndsay said: “Almeda has a reputation for world-class service and is truly committed to making a difference through facilities management and in the wider community. I’m glad to be a part of the future of Almeda.”

Matt added: “The Almeda team are incredibly enthusiastic about the task at hand. Their passion and determination is evident as soon as you walk through the door.”

James will be stationed at Bath & Bristol Science Park, where Almeda has managed its facilities for many years.

He said: “Almeda is dedicated to the progression of its employees and creating an environment of continuous learning. I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of the company.”

Tegan added: “It is a very exciting time for Almeda as they are growing and winning major new customer’s month on month. I want to grow within the company and help Almeda achieve its long-term vision.”

The appointments follow a successful period for Almeda, and a string of high-profile contracts are contributing to what is anticipated to be a record year.

Existing clients include the At-Bristol science education centre, Bristol’s Arnolfini at gallery and Watershed media centre and financial services group Jelf.

Almeda recently secured a contract with English Heritage to handle mechanical and engineering maintenance on 23 of its historic sites and has also won a contract with Stoke Gifford semiconductor firm Infineon Technologies.

Almeda Managing director Brady George, pictured, said the company’s core values and customer-centric attitude has helped them grow year on year.

“Our new team members will play a crucial role in driving Almeda forward. We can deliver on projects on a quick turnaround and this has helped us win multiple new projects over the past few months.

“But our focus remains on our core customers and we choose to work with companies who share similar values to us, which allows us to form lasting partnerships that are mutually beneficial to ourselves and the client.”
