Personal injury solicitor Jonathan Peacock – described in the Chambers directory as ‘a star’ - has been appointed as a partner in the Augustines Injury Law team at Bristol-headquartered law firm VWV as a partner.
Jonathan, pictured, who joins after 21 years at of national firm Irwin Mitchell, specialises in high-value personal injury claims, principally head injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and other severe multiple injury claims.
He also has wide experience of representing families in fatal accident cases including at coroners’ court.
Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 1994 after completing his training at national law firm Shoosmiths. He then went on to become one of the founding members of Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office and was most recently South West managing partner for the firm after having come to the region in 2010.
Among his landmark cases are representing families at the Avonside Inquiry into abuse at North Birmingham Mental Health Trust, acting for the families of elderly people who suffered as a result of failings at the Maypole Nursing Home, and representing claimants in connection with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital cancer misdiagnosis cases.
Jonathan’s cases are often in the highest bracket of personal injury awards. His most recent brain injury settlement had a value of £16.1m. He is often quoted in the press and regularly appears on radio and TV.
Jonathan was an Action against Medical Accidents(AvMA) clinical negligence specialist solicitor for more than 15 years.

Jonathan is a personal injury panel member and a Fellow of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
