Bristol Property Agents Association and the School for Social Entrepreneurs have become the latest organisations to become members of the business lounge at Bristol innovation hub Engine Shed.
The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), a charity supporting people using entrepreneurial approaches to tackle social issues, has signed up for a year starting yesterday. 
It runs practical learning programmes and courses to support people from all backgrounds to realise their potential and bring about lasting social and environmental change, and approach everything with their founding premise: that everybody has the capacity to be remarkable.
Bristol Property Agents Association (BPAA) began its three-year membership yesterday – the first to commit to a three-year contract.
The BPAA is the collective, authoritative voice of the Bristol property market, created from individuals from both the commercial and residential sectors. Its busy social calendar brings members together to meet, affording more opportunities for networking, which in turn supports their goal of making Bristol a centre for investment and leadership.
Membership of Engine Shed’s business lounge gives the organisations the opportunity for creative hot-desking, providing an exciting, collaborative hub for meetings, and an extensive networking resource for all members.
SSE Bristol and Dartington director Dirk Rohwedder said: “The School for Social Entrepreneurs has been supporting change makers and social enterprise leaders in Bristol since 2012.
“With more than 100 graduate entrepreneurs from its programmes the SSE is making a significant contribution to the social economy in the West of England. We are delighted to join the vibrant business community at Engine Shed.
“Not only does the business lounge offer a convenient central meeting place for our team, it also allows us and our social entrepreneurs to interact with other creative and ambitious entrepreneurs. Thereby pushing boundaries and forging cross sector alliances.”
BPAA president John Sisman added: “We are delighted to have been supporters of Engine Shed since its inception and this year to expand and formalise our involvement.

The Engine Shed business lounge is a shared working space for informal meetings with a network of academics, hi-tech, creative, and low-carbon entrepreneurs and innovators, business leaders, policy makers, and professionals.
Its bright colour scheme, train-carriage style pods and high tables have become a symbol of the vibrancy of Bristol’s digital, tech and creative sectors.
Member benefits include access to all its facilities within working hours, discount on room hire, and free visits for up to two non-members.
