Bristol’s only adult hospice care provider, St Peter’s Hospice, is appealing for a helpful landlord to lend it some warehouse space ahead of it opening a large shop in the city.
The charity, which has 50 shops in the area, is opening the 5,000 sq ft furniture and electrical goods store in South Bristol in July. 
But until then it urgently needs several thousand square feet of warehouse space to temporarily hold the stock.
St Peter’s business manager Sian Rees said: “In order to give the opening the best possible start we really need to ensure the store is well stocked on day one.
“So we’re looking for a generous landlord with space not currently in use to provide a short-term home for that stock – and play a big part in making the opening a success.”
The charity isn’t able to pay any rent, but can cover its costs, including rates – so the landlord will not be out of pocket.”
Steve Cullis, associate director of property agents Williams Gunter Hardwick, which handles property acquisitions for St Peter’s, added: “Anywhere in the Bristol area would be perfect. It simply needs to be secure and dry.”
