Bristol business support organisation BRAVE Enterprise is launching a Planning for Business Growth event for local entrepreneurs who want to take their business to the next level.
The half-day session – at the Coach House, 2 Upper York Street, Bristol, on January 24 – is for existing business owners who have aspirations to expand.
It is the first in a series of new BRAVE workshops planned for 2017 and will be presented by experienced business adviser Emma Smith, who has helped business owners from a variety of sectors improve their performance.
BRAVE director Liz Sands, pictured, said: “It’s so easy to be working hard ‘in’ our business that we sometimes don’t stop and take time to work ‘on’ our business.
“This workshop creates some protected time for people to reflect on where they are now with their business, and where they would like to be in future, then to start to develop a focused strategy to move the business in the right direction.
“We will share some simple planning tools that they can use to identify what needs to change and how, without having to spend hours writing a traditional business plan.”
She said attendees would leave with the knowledge and tools to be able to build a business growth strategy and where applicable, to communicate the shape of the plan simply to others.
Course content includes:
· Mapping out your business journey: where would you like to go?
· What does the business destination look like?
· How will you be able to tell whether you’re headed in the right
direction?
· How can you get yourself there?
· Describing the shape of the planned journey
· Tracking progress and dealing with change
