National independent property and construction consultancy Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (TFT) has joined the Bristol and West of England China Bureau as part of its commitment to expand into Asian markets.
The firm, which has an office in Bristol, is the latest to link up with the bureau following a successful mission to international real estate summit MIPIM Asia in Hong Kong. TFT is believed to have been the only building surveying firm at this global expo.
TFT Bristol partner Paul Spaven said: “We are very pleased to be joining the Bristol and West of England China Bureau helping us to build our connectivity between Bristol, the UK and China.
“More and more Chinese commercial property investors are looking down the M4 corridor towards Bristol. With 26 years’ experience in Bristol, TFT provides investors and occupiers with the expertise and advice they need to make the right property decisions.
“In the global marketplace, strengthening ties between China and the UK – and Bristol and its sister city Guangzhou – helps develop understanding and connections. An important element for us will be beginning to understand the regional differences within China itself which is not one, but many markets.”
West of England China Bureau chief executive Dianne Francombe said: “It’s very encouraging to see more local companies coming forward to take advantage of the insights and expertise the bureau can offer.
“TFT joins our growing family of Bristol companies who are developing a greater understanding about the intricacies – and potential – of the Chinese market.
“China is a country where innovation still abounds and the greater Bristol region is set to benefit from the expertise, wisdom and energy that professional Chinese companies moving into the region will bring with them. We look forward to facilitating these relationships with TFT.”
TFT also has offices in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Guildford, Manchester and Edinburgh.
