IT design consultancy looks to future with new brand identity

Bristol-based creative agency Workbrands has developed a new brand identity for Mosaic Island, an IT design and delivery consultancy with offices in Bristol and London.

Over the years, Mosaic Island has built up a strong track record of transforming businesses including EE, Which? and Telefonica O2.

But to cement its strong market position, it wanted its brand identity to more accurately reflect its proven services and thought leadership status.

Through a series of thought-provoking workshops and meetings, Workbrands was able to distil Mosaic Island’s brand essence and reinforce its founding position – to be seen as the go-to delivery partner and managed service provider in the UK and beyond – and its subsequent developments with its visual identity, digital presence and tone of voice.

The result is an eye-catching hexagon-shaped brand mark, representative of Mosaic Island’s core brand promise.

Workbrands art director Tom Ovens said the brand was “very much inspired by the working processes of Mosaic Island”.

He continued: “They fully integrate themselves within the client space to enable digital business transformation.

“We felt it was key to reflect this transformational element in the new brand. The hexagon shape suggests structure while the emanating dots represent growth and business-engaged change.

“An animated ripple effect in a digital version of the logo places further emphasis on transformation. We went with a contemporary colour palette to represent the consultancy’s innovative approach.”

Mosaic Island managing director David Tyson added: “Workbrands really took the time to understand our requirements. The thorough brand audit and workshop that they conducted with us paid dividends – our new brand is a good representation of our brand values and promise. It looks fantastic and has been well received both internally and externally.”

Founded in 2003 and now employing 13 people at its Bedminster studios, Workbrands specialises in high-quality branding, brand management and creative marketing communications.

It works with clients such as VMware, CDI AndersElite, Teleste, Broadbean, i2i Events Group, Western Power, CableCom Networking, Openfield and Brit Insurance.
