The Bristol office of national law firm Bond Dickinson has hosted a charity art exhibition to raise further funds for the Grand Appeal campaign, following on from the Shaun in the City sculpture trail of which it was a sponsor.

Artists who styled some of the 70 Shauns that attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to Bristol this summer were rounded up and herded into the top floor of the firm’s Temple Quay office for an evening of drinks and canapés.

Guests had the opportunity to chat to the 14 artists and view their work, which spanned paintings, sculptures, prints and mosaics. Sales on the night included donations to the Grand Appeal, which raises money for Bristol Children’s Hospitals, and an additional £220 was raised from a raffle.

Bond Dickinson head of the Bristol office Julian Kinsey said: “Bond Dickinson is extremely proud to be involved in the Shaun in the City trail and the fantastic cause it supports.

“Inviting the various trail artists to exhibit their work in our Bristol office proved a great way to raise further funds and showcase the artistic talent that helped to make both the London and Bristol trails such a success.”

Artists taking part included Ian Marlow, Liz Clayton, Tim Sutcliffe, Gabrielle Ruffle, Duncan Craig, Timmy Tim Tim, Henning Lohlein, Abigail McDougall, Amy Timms, Maria Burns, Julie Vernon, Laura Cramer, Orla Joan and Mike Ogden.
