The fifth annual Bristol Legal Sector Conference is to take place in October, giving the region’s law firms expert insight into the latest changes in the fast-moving sector.
Staged by NatWest alongside new partner mmadigital, the free event is on Wednesday October 21 at Temple Quay, 3 Temple Back East.
The conference will look at how firms can exploit new channels to market, improve profitability and partner performance and deliver business strategy via alternative funding structures.
Delegates will hear from expert speakers including Dez Derry of mmadigital, Stephen Gold of Stephen Gold Consulting, Peter Scott of Peter Scott Consulting and Colum Smith from McMillan Williams Solicitors Limited.
Steve Arundale, head of professionals at NatWest, said: “I’m delighted that we’re taking our conferences into their fifth year, working with our new partner mmadigital to offer expert support and insight to firms in the region.
“With many legal firms experiencing improved financial performance, we will examine how they should now look forward and employ the current period of stability to secure a positive future.”
Dez Derry, CEO of mmadigital, added: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be partnering with NatWest in 2015 on their annual legal sector conferences. The legal marketplace is changing rapidly and firms across the UK need to be embracing alternative channels to market like digital.
“With over two million legal searches per day on Google and 50% of those coming via mobile devices, the days where you place an advert in a directory or your local paper and wait for the phone to ring have gone. This year’s NatWest Legal Sector conferences will really help firms across the UK prepare for the future.”
