Bristol-based national training and leading apprenticeship provider Positive Outcomes has made three senior appointments to further support its continued growth.
Ryan Longmate and Kelly Ball, pictured, who have a combined 18 years’ experience at Positive Outcomes, have been promoted to joint managing directors while Richard Doar joins as financial controller to complete the senior team.
The firm is a national training provider specialising in Government-funded apprenticeships, funded training for those already in employment and corporate training.
Operating for almost 20 years, it is now one of the country’s top 10 independent training providers.
CEO Chris Longmate said: “As we fast approach our 20th anniversary I am thrilled and excited about the senior appointments we have secured.”
Kelly Ball began working at Positive Outcomes in 2002 and during that time has risen through the company ranks, demonstrating skills and expertise within the further education sector.
She said: “Our aim is to continue to grow the business. We want to build on the business’ success over the past 20 years by providing the highest quality of service for businesses and organisations requiring training or apprentices and for the apprentices themselves – finding the best possible opportunities to suit them.
“We are a business which is always moving forward and experiencing rapid growth. The government has made apprenticeships a viable option over the past year and with Positive Outcomes at the forefront of the industry, we want to be driving the business to ensure we continue to be a market leader in training and apprenticeships.
“We have a wide range of apprenticeships in sectors such as IT, business administration, customer services, sales, warehousing and storage, retail, hospitality, estate agency. However, we are always looking at new areas too. I am thrilled to continue to be part of Positive Outcomes and I am excited about the future years to come.”
Ryan joined the quality compliance team at Positive Outcomes in 2010 as operations manager, utilising his previous experience of managing quality assurance procedures. During his tenure he has supported the business in achieving Grade 2 (good) at Ofsted, high level learner success rates and quality training provision.
Ryan said: “During my six years with the business I have witnessed the company grow at a rapid pace and seen our quality of provision maintain high levels. I am proud to say I have and continue to be a part of our achievements and our next growth strategy.
“The key to delivering our growth strategy is ensuring we continue to provide an exceptionally high standard of delivery for our clients and build on our current high success ratings from Ofsted and the Skills Funding Agency.
“Everyone in our team at Positive Outcomes has a big part to play in the company’s future success. We certainly practice what we preach here at Positive Outcomes and have many apprentices ourselves who make a key contribution to our own business.”
Richard Doar joined Positive Outcomes from Deloitte last month, bringing a vast experience of having worked at a senior level in a ‘Big 4’ professional services firm.
With strong experience in financial management, control and audit practices, Richard’s role will help drive Positive Outcomes growth further in 2015 and 2016.
He said: “What attracted me to Positive Outcomes is that the business has a great track record, with ambitious but realistic growth plans.
“As a chartered accountant in corporate finance, I have worked with many different management teams over the last 10 years to help achieve their goals. I am confident that I will make a significant contribution to Positive Outcomes’ future growth and expansion.
“Positive Outcomes is a brilliant, fast paced place to work – the atmosphere in the office is always vibrant.”
Chris Longmate, CEO at Positive Outcomes, added: “The promotion of Ryan and Kelly and appointment of Richard further supports our continued growth plans – their high levels of expertise and drive will be great additions to our senior team. I am looking forward to the value and excellence that they bring to their new roles.”
