One of the most prominent buildings in Bristol’s Queen Square is almost full following its letting to marketing and comms agency Proteus Creative Communication.
The firm, which has relocated from Redcliffe Parade, has taken nearly 2,500 sq ft of contemporary, open plan space on a 10-year lease at King Williams House.
The deal was secured by leading property consultants JLL and means Proteus, which employs 16 staff, can now carry out a high specification fit out.
Proteus managing director Keith Cottrell said: “We are delighted to have found a really contemporary, open and light space in such a beautiful and historic location.
“King Williams House is ideal for us, right in the heart of the city and part of the vibrant creative community that Bristol is known for.”
The mid-terraced building was once operated as a potato processing factory, and as a prominent, turn-of-the-century property it sets itself apart from its Georgian neighbours on the east side of the square.
The last remaining suites, all of which have been fully refurbished, can accommodate a range of requirements from 563 sq ft to 6,134 sq ft.
The building is being marketed jointly by agents JLL and Colliers International.
Ross Wigley of JLL said: “This letting follows a resurgence of interest in high-quality, newly-refurbished space in Bristol, particularly as the economic climate continues to improve. Modern, stylish, open plan space for SMEs is now highly sought after in the city, particularly amongst Bristol’s growing creative sector.”
