Bristol & Bath Science Park, with its state-of-the-art innovation centre, has again been used as the setting for a film promoting advanced technology.
It stars in a promotional film for the new Samsung Galaxy S5, which tells the story of a designer who uses the smartphone across Bristol in preparation for an investor meeting at the Science Park.
The footage features The Forum – the park’s bright and airy place to eat, meet and network – and its striking solar chandelier, designed by Bristol artist Luke Jerram, as well as various meeting rooms.
The promo is the latest in a number of films shot at the park – the most recent featuring robotics firm MapleBird which is being used to promote a trade mission to California.
Eight of the UK’s most-promising and innovative small firms in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), including four from the West of England, took part in the mission in June.
Science Park chief executive Bonnie Dean said: “The Forum is a unique and beautifully-designed space created to inspire entrepreneurs and enable innovation. So it is highly appropriate that the park was chosen as the backdrop to a film promoting a new smartphone release by leading technologist and innovator Samsung.”
