Two very different Bristol entrepreneurs will receive honorary degrees on Monday from UWE Bristol at the award ceremony of the Faculty of Business and Law.

Trevor Smallwood, who rose from a management trainee at his local bus company to become chairman of transport group First, will receive the honorary degree of Doctor of Business Administration in recognition of his entrepreneurial and charity work.

Vashti Seth, who set up Bristol micro-loan charity Deki while a student at UWE, will be awarded the honorary degree of Master of Business Administration in recognition of her pioneering social entrepreneurship.
