Fast-growing Chinese takeaway chain Hotcha is to open up to three more outlets in its home city of Bristol as part of its ongoing expansion programme.
The announcement follows last week’s launch of a franchise scheme to establish Hotcha as a national brand and the first UK-wide Chinese takeaway business. It plans around 100 franchises outlets across the country in the next five years.
It has also this week opened in Stroud – taking its number of branches to nine, five of them in Bristol – and plans openings in Cardiff and Bath later this summer.
Hotcha is seeking experienced franchisees and fast food managers to run its latest suburban Bristol outlets, which will be in Henleaze Road, North Street in Bedminster and in Westbury-on-Trym.
Entrepreneur James Liang, pictured, who launched Hotcha two and a half years ago, said: “We are looking for experienced franchisees with strong knowledge of their local markets, a successful track record in business or the food sector and the ambition to launch Hotcha stores in due course.”
He said knowledge of Chinese cuisine is not a prerequisite as the firm has developed efficient processes and a training programme.
Hotcha offers a simple menu which has a modern take on well-known traditional Chinese dishes. All core ingredients including meat, fish, marinades and sauces are freshly prepared at a central production facility. Ingredients are delivered to the outlets every week where they are used to prepare dishes in line with Hotcha’s house recipes and presentation styles.
A central call centre has also been developed to streamline ordering and payments processes, allowing stores to focus on fulfilling orders and customer service.
