Bristol digital agency Positive has been appointed by United Bible Societies, the world’s biggest distributer and translator of the Bible, to develop its new website.
Positive, which works mainly with charity, non-profit, public sector and education clients, won the account following a competitive multi-agency pitch.
The website will aim to drive and grow engagement globally with the ultimate goal of making the Bible available to everyone in the language and medium of their choice.
Positive, based at The Paintworks, has recently completed a user research phase in multiple regions to understand the requirements of users and churches in a cross section of Christian denominations.
Positive managing director Mike Jenkins said: “To be working with United Bible Societies on this global project is very exciting. They have some challenging outreach objectives, and for a very broad range of international groups too – we can’t wait to help them achieve them.”
The agency's clients include charities Build Africa and Send A Cow as well as corporates such as Barclays and Standard Life and higher education establishments UWE and the University of Bath.
United Bible Societies global communications manager Jane Pleace added: “We chose to work with Positive because they have a tried-and-tested method for developing charity websites which includes a strong focus on user experience.
“We were looking for an agency that could offer intelligent insights and would be committed to helping us launch a world-class global website.”
The United Bible Societies is made up of 146 national Bible Societies operating in more than 200 countries and territories.
