Precision Profiles, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of steel and non-ferrous materials to the manufacturing and construction industries, has secured 32,300 sq ft of industrial space in Bristol,
The firm has acquired the long leasehold on a warehouse and office space on the Brislington Trading Estate. The property, for the Whites Material Handling division of the group, will be Precision’s 24th factory in the UK and its 15th location in Bristol
The £520,000 deal was secured by the industrial agency team at national commercial property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton’s (LSH) Bristol office. The steel portal frame property has profile-clad elevations above block-work wall with full-height roller shutter door, secure yard and parking for 30 vehicles.
Roger Avery, managing director of Precision Profiles, said: “As the construction industry continues to lift itself out of a prolonged slump, the requirement for construction materials and attachments has naturally risen. We now operate with 15 sites in Bristol and additional regional depots in Cardiff, Fareham, Gloucester and Plymouth. We employ over 200 staff across 24 sites, and this is set to grow again following the move to Emery Road.
“Our further expansion within Brislington Trading Estate will enable us to increase production of a variety of attachments which are designed, manufactured and distributed to the global construction industry.”
Tim Beare, associate director in LSH’s Bristol’s industrial agency team, pictured, said: “Precision Profiles’ expansion on the Brislington Trading Estate is further proof that the area is a prime location for businesses. The estate is an established industrial location adjacent to the A4 providing good access to east Bristol and Bath and is perfect for manufacturers who are looking to transport goods.”
