Bristol-based Hotcha, the UK’s only chain of Chinese takeaways, is to open a further four more outlets by Christmas just a year after launching its first three eateries.
The ambitious group, founded by young entrepreneur James Liang, is to open on Gloucester Road, South Liberty Lane and in Kingswood as well in Weston-super-Mare. The new outlets join those in Baldwin Street in Bristol city centre, Whiteladies Road, Clifton, and Temple Street in Keynsham.
Hotcha prides itself on using only fresh ingredients without the use of the controversial ingredient monosodium glutamate traditionally found in Chinese dishes.
James said: “These are seriously exciting times for Hotcha. We have ambitious growth plans and aim to be the number one takeaway chain in the UK in the next few years.
“I was confident that Bristol would be the ideal place to launch due to the city’s love of eclectic international dishes with a healthy twist. The current stores have proved a great success and we are confident the next four in the region will follow in the same footsteps.”
Hotcha employs 40 people and the new openings will create a further 130 jobs by next year.
