Global engineering, technology and consulting group Expleo, which operates from three bases in Bristol, is creating 100 highly skilled jobs in the city as part of a major expansion.
Expleo, which is planning to create a total of 500 new jobs in the UK this year, has grown rapidly since it was formed in 2017 when French engineering group Assystem Technologies acquired German firm Software Quality Systems (SQS).
It partners with dozens of businesses across 14 industries, including aerospace, marine and automotive, to supply engineering and quality assurance services.
Two years ago it acquired Bristol-based advanced engineering company Stirling Dynamics, meaning it now operates from three sites at Emerson Green and has teams working on multiple aircraft and marine platforms for commercial and defence programmes around the world.
Expleo UK managing director Jeff Hoyle said: “We’re committed to investing in regional talent and continuing the proud tradition of engineering excellence in the Bristol area.
“This next phase in our growth will see us create 500 roles this year, as we match high calibre talent to client demand for our services.
“Expleo is a dynamic place to be right now, with great opportunities for engineers who want to build skills across industries and clients.
“An engineer may start with us on a commercial aerospace programme, but their next project could be in defence, it is very diverse.”
The company also offers employees an enhanced training and development experience.
Mr Hoyle, who is also EVP global aero, space & defence, added: “I started out as a manufacturing engineer and know just how important the right support is to professional growth, that’s why we’ve launched an in-house career development programme that’s open to those in the first few years of their career with us, as well as ramping up our graduate intake and core L&D programme.”
Roles being created span mechanical design to software engineering and scrum masters to marine engineering.#
Expleo emloys 15,000 people across 30 countries and has a revenue of more than €1bn.
