South West regional law firm Foot Anstey has continued to develop its real estate practice with the promotion of Rebecca Kibby to a new role as CEO – conveyancing services, in its Bristol office.
The practice has also appointed environment specialist Begonia Filgueira as a legal director in the real estate team in its Southampton office.
Rebecca, pictured right, specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing work for private clients and organisations in the housebuilding and financial services sectors.
Her experience also extends to the design and implementation of an award-winning client extranet for housebuilders, providing an online solution to plot sales.
Begonia, pictured below, is dually qualified as both a UK solicitor and Spanish abogada and is an expert in international environmental law, governance and negotiation with 20 years’ experience through ‘magic circle’ law firms in the City, government and the United Nations.
Foot Anstey’s Southampton team has grown to 20 employees since opening in September 2016 following the firm’s successful focus on working with housebuilder and property sector clients such as Berkeley Homes. Begonia will also support the firm’s energy, planning and corporate teams.
Rebecca’s new role follows the successful introduction of this team and entry into the Southampton market, as well as her leadership in streamlining processes and using new technologies, which have contributed to impressive overall growth.
Her role will ensure that strategic conveyancing services delivered across all of Foot Anstey’s seven offices continue to deliver substantial contribution to the real estate practice and the wider firm.
As well as Bristol and Southampton, the firm has bases in London, Truro, Plymouth, Taunton and Exeter.
Head of real estate Martin Hirst said: “Real estate is a key part of Foot Anstey’s footprint with our specialists working on projects regionally, nationally and internationally. Our recruitment, recognition and retention of talent are all key to ensure that clients continue to receive excellent, committed services for their requirements. I’m delighted to welcome Begonia and congratulate Rebecca on her promotion.”
